The squadron of Admiral Manuel de la Camara in Port-Said
Philippine Revolution (1896-1898). Uprising against the Spanish colonial government. The squadron of Admiral Manuel de la Camara in Port-Said. The war with the United States forced the Spanish squadron to return to Spain instead of continuing its course to Manila. It reached the Suez Canal on 26 June 1898. At Port Said, it suffered all kinds of difficulties with the coal supply, and had to wait several days for permission to continue the journey, which happened on 4 July. Photoengraving.
