This view is one taken in a north easterly direction and illustrates the region to the north of Fulham Road near the Stamford Bridge football ground. The athletic ground is represented by the large elliptical area with the covered stands on the western side; while the broad winding road towards the right of the photograph is the Fulham Road. The West London Extension Railway passes under the Fulham Road and runs from left to right while the branch to Waltham Green Station is seen in the left of the picture. On the lower side of the railway towards the left is the large building of the Western District Fever Hospital and on the other side of the railway the Brompton Cemetery. 7 November 1908, 12.23 pm.
