Major Baden Fletcher Smyth Baden-Powell's Quadruplane
In 1909 the Aeronautical Society of Great Britain (which was to evolve into the Royal Aeronautical Society) owned an experimental flying ground at Dagenham. Major Baden Fletcher Smyth Baden-Powell (1860-1937) was a leading early member and benefactor of the Royal Aeronautical Society. This photograph shows B. F. S.
