Prior to the 12th Louis Blriot Lecture on 12 March 1959 at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Birdcage walk, London, Sir Arnold Hall, RAeS President 1958-1959, presented the Royal Aeronautical Society Gold Medal to General Gallois who was collecting the award on behalf of Marcel Dassault. The lecture was given by General Noel Daum, Technical Director, Nord Aviation, and entitled ?The Griffon Aircraft and the Future of the Turbo-Ram-Jet Combination in the Propulsion of Supersonic Aeroplanes? and was given in the presence of Madame Blriot
