The last of the Qantas-built DH50s at Longreach in August 1929. de Havilland DH50J, VH-ULG, Hippomenes, and a DH61 opened the first regular Australia/England service on 10 December 1934, flying the Bribane/Darwin sector, owing to a temporary grounding of DH86 aircraft
