Admiral of the Fleet Sir Rosslyn Erskine Wemyss (1864-1933), appointed First Sea Lord in December 1917. He represented Britain at the Armistice, and attended the Paris Peace Conference in 1919. Seen here in relaxed pose, smiling up at the camera, with a coat draped over his shoulder
