British prisoners from Kut returning to London, WW1

British prisoners captured after the Siege of Kut (1916), seen here on their return to London via Cannon Street Station. They are NCOs and other men, officers having returned a few days earlier. A total of 4250 British and Indian soldiers had died in captivity.
