General Oskar von Hutier, German army officer

General Oskar von Hutier (1857-1934), German army officer during the First World War. He was Commander of the 8th Army which took Riga in September 1917. He later commanded the 18th Army in the Battle of the Somme (March 1918) and in the Battle of Noyon (June 1918). Seen here (left) riding in the back of an open car
