Gustav Georg Friedrich Maria Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach, nicknamed Taffi (1870-1950), who ran the German Friedrich Krupp AG heavy industry conglomerate from 1909 to 1941. He was awarded the Iron Cross of the First Class in recognition of his company's supply of weapons and U-boats during the First World War
