HMHS Gloucester Castle sinking, WW1
HMHS Gloucester Castle, a Union Castle steamship used as a hospital ship during the First World War. Seen here sinking after being hit by a German torpedo off the Isle of Wight. She was salvaged and returned to civilian service after the war, but eventually sunk (as a passenger liner) in the South Atlantic in 1942
