Lieutenant Charles Nungesser (1892-1927) - French flying ace during the First World War who suffered seventeen injuries during his time flying during the war. He died in May 1927 in an attempt to make the first transatlantic flight without stopping with Francois Coli. Pictured with Nieuport biplane
