Vortex Gaudier-Brzeska (Written from the Trenches)
The vorticist sculptor Henri Gaudier-Brzeska's(1891-1915) contribution to the second issue of Blast, written from the trenches of France during World War I. This reflection was tragically published alongside a notice of his death in combat on 5th June 1915. In his "vortex, " he continues to champion vorticist ideas of vitality and abstraction in spite of the violence and destruction around him
