Pigeons Rising
Pigeons Rising - a piece of reproductive linocutting. The pigeons were drawn directly onto the lino, using a black, permanent marker pen with a bullet point. RG then cut carefully away, leaving the lines of the drawing intact. Used by RG for his Christmas card in 1963 and later it decorated the title page of the catalogue of a retrospective exhibition at Reading Museum and Art Gallery in 1971
