Workman with tram, Penyrorsedd Slate Quarry, North Wales
A workman pushing a tram loaded with large slabs of slate, at the Penyrorsedd Slate Quarry, Nantlle Valley, Caernarvonshire (now Gwynedd), North Wales. Because of visibility difficulties, instructions are whistled up the pit to the Watcher, who in turn passes the message on a bell system to the Winder on the Blondin engine
