Armenian boy scouts at refugee camp, Egypt
Armenian boy scouts blowing cook house at the Armenian refugee camp, Heliopolis, near Cairo, Egypt. The camp was formed during the Egyptian Riots of June 1919 and contained around 3000-4000 Armenian refugees. It was staffed by British officers. The boys in the camp were organised into scout troops, and were employed as buglers, scavengers, messengers, etc
