Scouts during Wartime
Raid Medal for Scoutmaster. Scoutmaster F. Beagles, a Plaistow man, has been awarded the Bronze Cross, the Boy Scouts Association's highest gallantry medal, for his splendid work in rescuing many people from bombed premises, with total disregard for his own safety. His cheerfulness and bravery have been a fine example to the young Scouts working under him. Scoutmaster F. Beagles is congratulated by his troop on receiving the Bronze Cross for bravery
