Scouts during Wartime

Well Done Scouts! 18 year old Robert Lefevre is the first Southwark scout to get a recommendation for bravery in the blitz and has received the Boy Scouts Association certificate for gallantry. His deed happened in the early days of the blitz when he rescued a woman from the top floor of a burning house and carried her to safety, and then rescued a horse from a stable nearby. Lefevre's father, Group Scoutmaster W.S. Lefevre, is in charge of the voluntary warden's post to which his son is attached, and the other men are not only proud of the boy but very proud to work under Mr Lefevre, who has been a tireless worker and an inspiration to the men who work under him.
