Scouts during Wartime

Sea Scouts collect salvage. At Cookham, near Maidenhead, there are a number of houses backing on the River Thames which have no main road leading to them. The result has been that no salvage collections have been possible for these houses. The local authorities being anxious that no household should be omitted from the Great National Salvage Drive, have called in the aid of a local troop of Sea Scouts who have been down the River to collect the salvage in their boat
