With this election poster the KPD advertises the mass demonstrations against the behavior of the SPD in the armored cruiser affair and accuses them on changing policy and coalition treason. The armored cruiser program of the Kriegsmarine, which envisaged the construction of three battleships, led to fierce attacks of the Communist Party against the SPD because they had led their Reichstag election campaign with the slogan No cruiser, but then, as Cabinet approved the construction. It was a political farce, which inflicted serious damage to the reputation of the SPD
