Adolf Hitler with Bernile

Adolf Hitler with Bernile, a small, blonde girl from Munich, who gained Hitler's attention in a crowd of visitors at Obersalzberg. Between 1933 and 1938 Bernile, who was also born on April 20th, was often invited to Obersalzberg by the Fuehrer. They also corresponded by letter, although Hitler was aware that Bernile was one fourth Jewish. From May 1938, the head of the Fuehrer Chancellory, Phillip Bouhler, prevented any more visits from the child and stopped the spread of the photos
