Adolf Hitler in the Buergerbraeukeller, 1939
Final scene of Adolf Hitler's speech on September 8, 1939. Hitler's speech was unusually short, because the deteriorating weather that evening forced him to take the train back to Berlin instead of the plane. Elser's bomb exploded about an hour after Hitler had left the Buergerbraeukeller. The column brought down by the detonation of the bomb killed seven NSDAP members and a waitress
