The airship Parseval in the airship hangar in Berlin, 1906
The non-rigid blimp of the type Parseval is fixed by soldiers in the airship hangar in Berlin-Tegel with burdened tethers. Unlike the Zeppelin type in which a rigid framework ensured the external shape stability, in this Parseval the airship shell was ensured by the overpressure of the buoyant gas. After the first successful ascent on 26/05/1906 August Franz Max von Parseval built in Bitterfeld a total of 23 rigid airships
