Alfred Hugenberg, 1928
The German industrialist and politician in an undated photo. Dr. Alfred Hugenberg was chairman of the board of Krupp. With the Hugenberg Group, a national-conservative media group, he built since 1916 its own economic and political power position. In 1928 he was elected chairman of the German National People's Party (DNVP) and held the position until 1933. Hugenberg helped make Adolf Hitler politically, socially acceptable.
