Child laborers in front of a coal mine in S. Pittstin, Pennsylvania. The photo was taken by photographer Lewis Wicker Hine on behalf of the National Child Labor Committee. Lewis Heine devoted his work to child labor in the USA and Europe. Between 1908 and 1921 about 5, 000 photos were taken. Lewis considered himself as a social documentary photographer
