The destroyers USS Leary (Number 158) and USS Shubbrick (Number 268) are probably two of the 50 aged American warships that were given to Great Britain. In return the USA received naval bases in British Guyana, Antigua, Newfoundland, Trinidad, Jamaica, St. Lucia and in Bermuda and the Bahamas
