Ankeruhr on Hoher Markt in Vienna, 1927

The skyway between the two parts of the Anker Hof building on Hoher Markt displays the so-called Anker Clock designed by the painter Franz von Matsch (1911-1917). The visible side of the clock displays a mosaic in the middle of which is the coat of arms from the old Vienna civil flag. On the skyway in front of it twelve figures or figure pairs from the history of Vienna move past over the span of twelve hours, accompanied by music from their lifetime
