Anti-Semitic caricature, 1943

An anti-Semitic caricature shows the Jews as rats, escaping from the Soviet Union's sphere of power into the British area of influence, and therefore into the Middle East, to be precise: Iran, Syria, Lebanon and Palestine. In the background sits a figure, which symbolizes the Soviet secret police, GPU (Gossudarstwennoje Polititscheskoje Uprawlenije), in the foreground is the caricature of a Brit. Original title: 50, 000 Polish Jews in the Middle East, original text: You shouldn't have told me, Johnny, not to bring any poison into our marriage! (Caricature by Erik)
