Arthur Mahraun
Arthur Mahraun (1890-1950), national conservative social politician of the Weimar period. In 1920 he founded the Young German Order and was elected its Grand Master'. He put the organization, together with its 15, 000 local groups and their own newspaper, Der Jungdeutsche (The Young German) in the service of a policy of reconciliation with France. In late July 1930, Mahraun founded, together with most of the democratic representatives, the German State Party, but he quit from the State Party with his organization in October in the same year again. When the Nazi regime came to power Mahraun dissolved his organization
