Auction at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, 1929
A sign announces the auction of furnishings, artworks and restaurant equipment of the Waldorf Astoria in New York. The famous hotel at the intersection of 5th Avenue and 33rd Street was torn down in 1929, in order to make space for the Empire State Building. It was re-opened in 1931 on Park Avenue
