August, Duke of Saxony, head of the Fruchtbringende Gesells
In 1617, Caspar von Teutleben founded the Fruchtbringende Gesellschaft ('Fruitbearing Society'), also known as the Palmen-Order ( Palm Order'), a linguistic society that wanted to promote the German written and spoken language. August, Duke of Saxony, is the third leader of the society. The society, which was made up of numerous aristocrats, poets and writers, was dissolved in 1680
