Augustus, Duke of Saxe-Weissenfels, the third president of the Fruitbearing Society'. The Fruitbearing Society, the Palm Order, was the oldest German Literary Society, founded in 1617 in Weimar's old residence Hornstein, led by Ludwig of Anhalt. The members had committed themselves not just to the German language but also to promote all honesty, virtue and courtesy, foreign words have been fought. The Society existed until 1680. Numerous civic poets and writers belonged to it
