Crowds have gathered at the race track in Berlin to watch the Avus race of 1932. Behind the gatehouse that says Automobil-Strasse, the racing cars have lined up and are waiting for the starting signal. The picture was taken from the Berlin radio tower. In the background you can see industrial facilities on the Berlin - Grunewald railway line and behind them the villas of Grunewald and the Halensee with the Luna Park
