A girl salutes her group leaders from the Opera Nazionale Balilla (ONB) in 1942 after receiving an award for helping with the harvest. That year, the fascist youth organization ONB had enlisted children to do auxiliary work such as re-harvesting harvested fields. Diplomas were awarded to the best ear-gatherers.
