The Legionnaire V. Tirbach gives to Colonel Puau, the Director of the Legion, for his performance on the Eastern front, the Cross of Merit of the French Legion (Legion des Volontaires Francais) with the Bronze Star. The Legion was transformed with another SS unit to SS Division Charlemagne in 1944
