On November 29, 1936, the Foreign Press Association held a ball at the Hotel Adlon in Berlin, which was attended by many diplomats and foreign policy experts. Sitting at the first table (3rd from left) is the French ambassador Andre Francois-Poncet, on the far right is the head of protocol Vicco von Buelow-Schwante. At the second table (from right to left): U.S. Ambassador William Edward Dodd in conversation with Turkish Ambassador Mehmet Hamdi Arpag, next to him Reich Press Chief Jacob Otto Dietrich
