This painting by Johann Lorenz Rugendas depicts the storming of the Inner Isar Bridge in Landshut by Franco-Bavarian troops on 21 April 1809. Landshut had previously been occupied by Austrian units and was recaptured by the battle. The tower of St. Martin's Church collapsed as a result of the fighting
