Battle near the Falkland Islands in the First World War
The German East Asian squadron under Vice-Admiral Graf Spee was destroyed in the battle near the Falkland Islands on 08.12.1914. The cruiser Dresden was able to rescue as single ship, whose crew was taken in from the Chilean warship Esmeralda': the photo shows German and Chilean sailors aboard of the Esmeralda
