Battle near the Falkland Islands in the First World War
The German East Asian squadron under Vice-Admiral Graf Spee was destroyed in the battle near the Falkland Islands on 08.12.1914. The cruiser Dresden and part of its crew was able to rescue as single ship. This memorial stone at the Robinson Island evokes of the Dresden and the fallen sailors
