Koenigsberg, Prussia, which was largely spared until autumn 1944 when the Red Army was able to push its offensive to Goldap, was massively attacked form the air and was severely hit. The photo shows the view from Muenzplatz towards the burnt-out Muenzstrasse, left the entrance to Junkernstrasse, which is totally destroyed and almost impassable
