Since the wars in 1866 and 1870 the development of the railway system had become very important to the German general staff. Here, the Eisenbahn-Regiment No. 1 ('1st Railway Regiment') which built a railway bridge at Jaenickendorf near Jueterbog within eleven days. Undated photo
