The English magazine The Shere published a photo of the British bombardier of the Bristol Blenheim, who believed that one of his bombs have hit the Gneisenau'. In reality, however, the channel breakthrough of the battleship Gneisenau, Scharnhorst and Prinz Eugen reached from Brest to the North Sea on 12. February 1942
