Abandoned trucks of the British Expeditionary Force line on the beach of Dunkirk, after they were evacuated by soldiers of the British and French Northern Army fore the advancing German troops. The trucks that were placed in a row were used as bridges by the soldiers to get on the transport ships in the shallow water
