Bunker construction in Kholm, 1942
Two German soldiers build a bunker in the enclosed city from a bomb crater. Every day the Soviet artillery fires on the town. During the encirclement battle of Cholm, the Kampfgruppe Scherer successfully defended the city for 105 days.
