Burial of Duke Alfred of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha in Coburg
The coffin of Duke Alfred of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, who had died on 30 July 1900, was laid out in front of the altar of the town church of St. Moriz in Coburg before the funeral on 4 August. Here the procession to the Moriz Church passes a company of soldiers presenting the rifle. Numerous noblemen and officers are among them. The photograph was taken by the Coburg court photographer Eduard Uhlenhuth
