Burial of Leopold Clemens of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha in Coburg

Clergymen walk through Coburg at the head of the funeral procession for the burial of Prince Leopold Clemens of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha in the spring of 1916. The prince had died in Vienna on 27 April 1916 and was buried in the Kohary crypt of the Church of St. Augustine in Coburg. In the picture the procession is just moving through Bahnhofstrasse east of the Itz Bridge. The middle-class townhouses No. 11 (left) to No. 17 (right, Villa Leheis) can be seen
