On the so-called Blutsonntag (Bloody Sunday) on 17.7.1932 there were violent street battles between Communists and National Socialists in Altona. Here is the funeral of a shot SA man five days after the event. Reich Chancellor von Papen used this event as an opportunity to dismiss the Prussian government and to appoint himself as Reichskommissar
