Burning oil tanks in an oil refinery, 1926
Firefighters at fire-fighting operations during a fire in an oil refinery of the Beacon Oil Company in Everett. In that accident, three oil tanks were destroyed and another was damaged. The fire destroyed more than 250, 000 gallons of oil. The damage was estimated at $ 150, 000. The director of the refinery Walter Perlesis suffered burns as fell into a pool of hot oil while he tried to open the drainpipes in order to drain gasoline
