Burning wreck of the Seeadler, 1917
The auxiliary cruiser Seeadler, a four-masted barque of 4000 tons, was on the way plundering under the command of Felix Graf von Luckner in the South Pacific. Enemy merchant ships were hijacked and the cargo was destroyed. After the auxiliary cruiser had wrecked on a coral reef at the island of Mopelia, she had to be abandoned by the crew
