A bust of Johann Friedrich Boettger
This portrait bust of the alchemist Johann Friedrich Boettger (1682-1719) was made in 1810 by the sculptor F.A. Weeger. Boettger was the first to succeed in the production of red stoneware (Boettgersteinzeug) and around 1708/09 in the production of white hard-paste porcelain (Meissen porcelain)
