The American actor and director Buster Keaton (middle) was made a captain of the Oregon National Guard. Next to Keaton stand members of the 160th infantry regiment of the California National Guard, from left to right: Lieutenant Colonel Seth E. Howard, Captain Marvin C. Bradley, Buster Keaton, Colonel Harcourt Hervey, Captain Charles Kastler and Captain Harold E. Hopping.
